General Terms and Conditions of Azur Loft Studios SAS, 22 Rue Barla, 06300 Nice (the "Provider"). Last updated: 1 July 2026.
Article 1 – Scope
These Terms apply to all studio hire, equipment hire, crew supply, production and post-production services agreed between the Provider and its clients, whether consumers or businesses. Any conflicting terms of the client shall not apply unless expressly accepted by the Provider in writing.
Article 2 – Conclusion of contract
The rates shown on the website and the online quote are indicative. By submitting the form, the client makes an enquiry. The contract is concluded upon the Provider's written confirmation, once availability of the space, equipment and crew has been checked. Dates are held firm only once the deposit under Article 4 has been received.
Article 3 – Prices
All prices are in euros and include French VAT at the applicable rate of 20%. A studio day is 9 consecutive hours; a crew day is likewise 9 hours including the lunch break. A 10% discount applies to studio hire from 3 days and 15% from 6 days; it does not apply to equipment, crew or fixed-price services.
Article 4 – Payment
A deposit of 30% is due on confirmation, with the balance payable no later than the final day of the shoot. Accepted payment methods: credit card, Visa, Mastercard, Carte Bancaire, PayPal and bank transfer. Business clients may, on request and subject to approval, pay on invoice within 30 days. Late payment automatically incurs interest at the statutory rate plus 10 points and a fixed recovery indemnity of €40 (Article L.441-10 of the French Commercial Code).
Article 5 – Duration, overruns and overtime
Any hour started beyond the booked window is charged at the hourly rate of the space concerned. Crew overtime beyond 9 hours carries a 25% uplift in line with industry practice. The space must be returned in its original condition; otherwise, making good is charged at cost. Where an overrun prevents the next client from taking access, the Provider reserves the right to charge for the resulting loss.
Article 6 – Crew
Crew supplied are declared intermittents du spectacle employed and paid by the Provider; the client does not become their employer in any respect. The client retains creative direction of the shoot while the Provider is responsible for technical direction and for compliance with health and safety rules. If a crew member becomes unavailable at short notice, the Provider will offer an equivalently qualified replacement or, failing that, will not charge for that role.
Article 7 – Equipment
Equipment is supplied in good working order and checked jointly on collection and return. The client is responsible for it throughout the hire and is liable for damage, loss and theft at full replacement value, save for normal wear. Equipment may not leave the premises without written agreement and evidence of insurance covering equipment in the client's care. Sub-hire is prohibited.
Article 8 – Rooftop terrace and weather
The rooftop is an outdoor space and the Provider gives no warranty as to weather conditions. Where rain or wind above 40 km/h is forecast for the booked slot by the national weather service, the client may reschedule the terrace booking free of charge up to 6pm on the preceding day, or transfer it to an indoor studio at that studio's rate with any difference refunded. Beyond that deadline the ordinary cancellation terms apply. For safety reasons the Provider may close the terrace during a booking in the event of storms or high winds, in which case the unused portion of the terrace fee is refunded.
Article 9 – Client obligations and safety
The client shall comply with the house rules displayed on site: no smoking or vaping, naked flames, haze and smoke machines subject to prior written agreement, observance of maximum occupancy and of rigging load limits. The client supplies a named list of attendees and, where bringing an own crew, a valid professional liability insurance certificate. The client is responsible for everyone they admit to the premises.
Article 10 – Intellectual property and image rights
Where the client shoots with their own crew, the client remains sole owner of the rights in the material produced. Where the Provider's authors or crew are engaged, they retain their moral right, which is inalienable under Article L.121-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code, and assign the client the economic rights of reproduction and communication to the public in the delivered material for 5 years, worldwide, for web, social media, trade shows and printed commercial materials. Broadcast, paid media campaigns and large-format outdoor are subject to a separately quoted extended assignment. The client warrants that it holds releases from identifiable people (Article 9 of the French Civil Code) and the rights to any works, sets, music and trade marks appearing on camera, and shall indemnify the Provider against any claim in that respect.
Article 11 – Cancellation and rescheduling
Studio: free cancellation up to 7 days before the shoot; between 7 days and 48 hours, 50% of the studio fee remains payable; under 48 hours or in the event of a no-show, the full fee is due. Crew: free cancellation up to 5 days before; thereafter 50% of the relevant role remains payable. Equipment: free cancellation up to 48 hours before. One free reschedule is granted, within 6 months, if requested at least 7 days in advance. Where the Provider cancels, all sums paid are refunded within 14 days, with no further compensation.
Article 12 – Liability
The Provider is liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of simple negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and capped at the total amount invoiced for the service. The Provider accepts no liability for theft or loss of personal effects left unattended, nor for loss of data on the client's recording media; the client is responsible for backing up material before leaving the studio.
Article 13 – Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a failure resulting from force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code (including prolonged power failure, flood, fire or an administrative closure order). In such cases sums paid are refunded or a replacement slot is offered, at the client's choice.
Article 14 – Mediation and final provisions
In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumers may refer unresolved disputes free of charge to the mediator CNPM – Médiation de la Consommation, 27 Avenue de la Libération, 42400 Saint-Chamond, after first contacting our customer service. These Terms are governed by French law. For consumers, the jurisdiction rules of the French Code of Civil Procedure apply; for businesses, the Commercial Court of Nice has exclusive jurisdiction. Should any provision be held invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
